The Celtics and their fans love to call Glenn Davis "Big Baby", his nickname since his LSU days. Its time for Doc Rivers to step up and tell Glenn Davis to punch the next person that calls him "Big Baby" right in the mouth. This tag is getting to him and hes playing like a big baby.
His childish and selfish antics aside (you know, the fight that cost him the first half of the season), this man is playing like crap. Granted, he is a fat slob that cannot control his gluttonous eating behavior, but at least he can use the size to his advantage and mix it up and throw his weight around down low. He doesnt do this. Im sick and tired of him getting rebounds stolen from him and watching him get taken to the woodshed physically. A Celtic fan might point out that he takes charges well. I say whoop de damn doo. If a guy comes into the lane, forget about the charge, hammer that guy, and make him think about coming down the lane again. The only way the Celtics have a chance this year is to get more physical and Glenn Davis needs to step up.
While we are in the subject of babies, lets turn to another Green Teamer.
All the fanfare that surrounded the signing of Rasheed Wallace in the off season in hindsight has turned comical. This guy has been a dog his whole career and this year is no better, actually its worse. This guy is 6'11 250lbs and he refuses to go down low. Some guys that size cannot go down low, and maybe they get a pass, but 'Sheed can go down low extremely well offensively and defensively. I have seen him do it when he wants to. Now reread the previous sentence and emphasize the last 4 words. When he wants to.Rasheed Wallace plays like he does not care at all. All you have to do is watch the Eastern Conference Finals a few years ago when Cleveland won 4 straight against Det and that pretty much sums up Rasheed Wallace. Cleveland had no business winning that series and time and time again during that series Wallace had the chance to stop Detroits bleeding and he didnt. Because he didnt care.
Doc Rivers needs to put diapers on these two babies and throw Sheldon Williams in there and see what he can do, because right now these two guys are a comical laughingstock and give the Celtics no chance of winning the NBA title.
